V.A Enwerem on the occasion of the digital solutions for sustainable agriculture and climate change workshop organized by the University of Agriculture and Environmental sciences, Umuagwo Imo state on 24-25th September 2024.
The event “Adaptation to Climate Change via Smart Agricultural Practices (SAP) and Good Agronomic Practices (GAP)” focused on the role of sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices in supporting farmers’ adaptation to climate change. The lecture, delivered by Dr. V.A. Enwerem, highlighted the importance of combining Good Agronomic Practices with Smart Agricultural Practices to improve crop management, enhance resilience to climate-related stresses, promote efficient use of natural resources, and support sustainable agricultural production. Particular attention was given to practical solutions for improving soil and water management, biodiversity conservation, crop productivity and farmers’ capacity to respond to changing environmental conditions.
